After a Brian Eno megamix, the celebrated producer introduces his new album, Small Craft on a Milk Sea. He remarks that a record label's like a gallery: you get to know the kind of work they show. He remembers mixing live for Roxy Music, in costume at the back of the auditorium! He considers how to keep improvisation fresh, with techniques like 'imagining lost music from the future'. His Oblique Strategy Cards also help to spark creativity when under pressure in an expensive studio. He praises Cosmo Jarvis' method of writing music visually, and poet Rick Holland.
