Richard has written a memoir, No Way But Gentlenesse: A Memoir of How Kes, My Kestrel, Changed My Life. He reveals how his boyhood fascination for falconry inspired the story, shares anecdotes about working as an advisor on the film, and talks eloquently about his love of hawks and his passion for education.
